FAQs

  • The formal definition of freelance is "a person who is self-employed and not necessarily committed to a particular single employer, long-term." But for anyone who is a freelancer knows that it's MUCH MORE than that. Whether you’re a side-hustle or in your freelance work full-time, like it or not, you’re a small business owner. There is more that goes into freelancing than just the work i.e. graphic design, copywriting, software development, recruiting, etc. So Freelance Buffalo & Beyond is here to help you connect with others like you and those able to help you build the best business you can.

  • Freelance Buffalo & Beyond was created to bring freelancing to the forefront of our local business communities. We aim to build stronger connections between freelance business owners, small-medium-sized businesses, start-ups, and corporations through in-person workshops, educational sessions, and open-panel discussions. Paired with networking opportunities, VIP events, monthly meetups, and an annual retreat, Freelance Buffalo & Beyond is the freelance event you've been searching for.

  • Call yourself what you want - freelancer, solopreneur, consultant, independent business owner, etc. But if it’s unclear whether you should join us or not, I hope this helps… You should buy a ticket to Freelance Buffalo & Beyond if you work for yourself and by yourself.
